About

Lisa Bracken

I was the last girl in the neighborhood to start my period. I felt totally left out; my friends had a secret language, private jokes, and a sudden aura of desirability. When the day finally came for me, I was giddy – I had arrived! Now what? I didn’t have a roadmap but I was still stoked.

For the past 5 years, I have felt the same about menopause: absolutely giddy, still without a roadmap and, yes, still stoked! And I can’t help but think, what if we all embraced this tremendous transition with the same level of excitement, anticipation, and enthusiasm as we did when we were 13? How’s THAT for altering the narrative?

This is not the end of times, Ladies, you are powerful, sexy, and in charge. Time to own it. Hello Lovelies! I’m Lisa – Women’s Health Specialist, Clinical Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Therapist and torch bearer for all things women’s holistic health.

I am thrilled to walk alongside Andrea (#totalfox) and bushwack the trail ahead. Together, we’ll explore the joys and challenges, the pleasures (and there are lots) and pains, and share the tools and insights that are helping us to navigate this magical chapter in our lives. I believe there’s a Fox in each of us – sassy, saucy, sexy, self-assured…. she’s there. The time has come for us to reclaim her! Let’s do this. Let’s live our age. And live it boldly!

Andrea Neil

Hiya! I’m Andrea – author, editor, yoga teacher, and professional introvert.

My personal experience with becoming a woman of a certain age has been many things – liberating, confusing, frustrating, revelatory, exciting, hot, cold, informative… I think you get the general idea. There’s a lot going on, amiright?

The most important thing to remember as we travel into and through this amazing phase of our lives is that there is no one right way to do this. But there are things we can do to help us come in for a smooth landing.

At this age, I believe we have the wisdom, knowledge, and moxie to embody our true potential as humans. As women. In whatever form, shape, color, and size that takes for each of us. We all count and we all deserve to express ourselves and be heard. Yeah!

Lisa is an amazing resource for helping us navigate the 50+ world and I’m honored to be her co-pilot here at Live Your Age. And I’m so glad you’re here on this journey with us. We might not have all the answers, but at least we’re all here together. So buckle up, foxes, here we go!
